As a TruckPro Assistant Category Manager, you will help drive strategic decisions across our Retail and Wholesale product lines. In this role, you’ll use data-driven insights to support category strategy, while optimizing product assortment, pricing, margins, and inventory. You'll play a key part in executing our category plans and improving performance across the board.  TruckPro Benefits: Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance 401k with Company Match Life Insurance Paid Time Off! 15 days per year Health Savings Account with Company Match Paid Training Hybrid work schedule, in Cordova, TN On-site gym facility and walking trail Key Assistant Category Manager Responsibilities Include: Leveraging industry analysis, financial performance, supplier relationships to identify opportunities for assortment optimization Supporting Field Sales team’s need in regard to product assortment and supply chain support while maintaining adherence to defined category strategy Managing and tracking Supplier rebates, ensuring Category Management and suppliers are meeting contractual requirements related to on-invoice and off-invoice rebates. Working cross functionally with the Supply Chain team to ensure operational efficiencies are met Reviewing and optimizing product mix - balancing new item additions with lifecycle management of existing portfolio Assisting in the enrichment of product-related content by leveraging supplier relationships Communicating results, insights, and recommendations to various business partners through both written and verbal channels Expand existing direct import programs to improve product coverage Manage existing import vendor relationships   Successful Assistant Category Manager Candidates Will Have: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field required Demonstrated experience supporting direct import product categories, including international vendor coordination and freight or logistics planning, is required Retail and/or distribution product network experience is preferred, but not required Three or more years of work experience in a related field (e.g. retail merchandising, distribution, planning & allocation, pricing, promotions, purchasing) Automotive, Heavy-Duty aftermarket parts industry experience a plus Business manager mindset with drive for continuous process improvement Strategic thinking with ability to adapt in a fast-paced and changing environment Strong organizational agility to enhance cross-functional communication and collaboration Excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills – capable of developing well-structured communications and presentations and able to present complex information in an easy-to-understand manner with clear recommendations based on data Team oriented, goal oriented, and flexible with a proven track record in collaborating cross-functionally and driving results Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
