Join us and be a part of a team that puts people first! About the Opportunity: In this role you will use various heavy machinery to load, unload, and transport scrap metal materials within the yard. Equipment includes forklifts, front-end loaders, material handlers, and excavators. You will also promote a safe, secure, and healthy work environment while keeping equipment clean and well maintained. No two days are the same, but the typical position responsibilities include: Perform daily maintenance and inspection on equipment, such as lubricating, fueling and cleaning Inform maintenance of condition of equipment through completion of daily inspection reports. Follow all established safety rules and regulations. Account for productivity by meeting prescribed production goals. Perform equipment and general site cleanup Perform other duties as assigned. You might be the right fit if you have these skills: Work independently as well as within a team environment. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently. Maneuver in and around equipment to inspect, operate, and maintain company property. Previous experience using a material handler and/or excavator is a plus.
