Their project portfolio includes transportation infrastructure, utilities, public works, and site development.Position SummaryA confidential, growth-oriented engineering firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Managing Engineer / Senior Project Manager to join its team in the Long Island and NYC area. This is a leadership-track role with an immediate focus on technical delivery and project execution, and a clear path toward becoming a Regional Lead within the MEP division.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of electrical systems for commercial and industrial projectsOversee project timelines, budgets, staffing, and technical quality from concept through constructionPrepare high-quality technical drawings, specifications, and documentationDesign and coordinate medium and low voltage distribution systems, lighting, power, and grounding systemsConduct field surveys, site evaluations, and manage construction administration tasksCollaborate with architects, internal multi-discipline teams, contractors, and equipment vendorsManage client relationships and support new business development initiativesContribute to proposal writing, contract negotiation, and cross-discipline coordinationMentor junior engineers and assist in team development and performanceQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical EngineeringMinimum of 12 years of experience in electrical systems design for commercial or industrial buildingsProfessional Engineer (PE) license required, with ability to gain licensure in additional statesStrong technical knowledge of electrical systems and relevant codesExperience managing multidisciplinary project teams and interacting with clientsProficiency with Microsoft Office; AutoCAD and/or Revit experience is a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSelf-starter with the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environmentTools & SkillsMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)AutoCAD / Revit (preferred)Strong organizational and interpersonal abilitiesWhy This RoleHigh-impact leadership opportunity with potential for regional advancementWork on complex and diverse projects across multiple sectorsCollaborative team culture and professional development supportCompetitive compensation up to $160,000, depending on experience and qualificationsQualified candidates who are ready to take the next step in their career and grow into a leadership role within a respected consulting firm are encouraged to apply.
