This executive leader is responsible for managing employee risk, supporting policy enforcement, and coaching leaders through sensitive employment matters. The role is essential to Intercare’s operational integrity and employee trust—and serves as a critical counterpart to the Employee Experience function.  Salary: Starting at 150k Key Responsibilities Employee Investigations: Lead the review, documentation, and resolution of workplace complaints and investigations Compliance & Policy: Ensure HR policies align with current employment law and are consistently applied Disciplinary Process: Oversee all formal disciplinary actions and ensure fair, timely documentation  Offboarding & Risk Management: Manage sensitive terminations and offboarding processes in a compliant, compassionate manner  Manager Coaching: Serve as a key partner to leaders navigating complex personnel situations, including legal exposure and conflict  Mediation & Conflict Resolution: Lead or coordinate efforts to resolve interpersonal issues across teams and locations  Documentation & Reporting: Build consistent, accurate documentation and maintain audit-ready employee relations records   Qualifications 10+ years in HR or employment law, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role focused on employee relations or labor compliance Strong knowledge of California and federal labor regulations Exceptional ability to manage investigations, assess risk, and apply sound judgment  Experience in developing scalable ER policies in a high-growth or healthcare setting  Excellent communication, discretion, and objectivity in sensitive conversations  Proven track record of building trust with managers and staff in difficult moments   Outcomes & Success Measures Reduced employment-related risk and litigation exposure Manager confidence in navigating ER processes Fair and consistent application of discipline and investigations Timely closure of ER cases with transparent outcomes
