Job Description

The Electrician installs and repairs electrical systems for the efficient, safe and responsible operation of all building systems and equipment while also assisting the engineering team.  You will work as part of an engineering team of 4 at a Class A high rise office building in Hartford.This position requires the Electrician to be on-site.Schedule: (flexible) Monday through Friday, on-call expectation.WHAT YOU’LL DOUnder the Chief Engineer’s direction, supervise and direct contractors and monitor performanceAssist the Chief Engineer in the formulation and implementation of the preventive maintenance programMaintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete any tenant service requests Monitors operation, adjusts and maintains chilled water and air conditioning equipment; ventilating fans; hot water heating pumps; hot water heaters; valves, piping and filters; other mechanical and electrical equipment; record readings and make adjustments where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment. Requires the ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required.Complete electrical installations; wire single and three phase motors (single & two speed); run conduit; pull wiring to machinery, motors, operating parts, etc.Install and rebuild pumps and motors; install and rebuild air compressors; heat exchangers; replace bearings in all types of motors; replace seals on pumps; install and repair piping, valves, filters, hot water systems and associated controls; assist other mechanics and operators with major repairs and maintenance of building and equipment.Support preparation of monthly/quarterly operations and mechanical reportsRespond effectively to all emergenciesCommunicate effectively to the client and building occupants/tenantsComplete assigned tasks that include but are not limited to: painting, pressure washing, cleaning, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts (as allowed by licensing requirements), plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, hanging pictures, repair office furniture, locksmith work and general maintenance Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence effortsComply with all safety proceduresComply with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materialsParticipate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programsWHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE3-5 years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentryTrade school education, union training, military service or college is desirableState of Connecticut E2 - Unlimited Electrical JourneypersonExperience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)Ability to lift up to 50 lbsComfort using ladders up to 30 feet tallAbility to frequently climb, bend, kneeling, lift and/or driveStrong customer service and communication skillsWHAT’S IN IT FOR YOUJoin an industry leader and shape the future of commercial real estate Deep investment in cutting-edge technology to power your work Proposed salary: $80,000 annuallyComprehensive and competitive benefits plan A supportive, caring and diverse work environment designed for your growth and well-being#PMR1
