This position will be a full-time and onsite 6 month contract opportunity in El Cajon, CA. This is a first shift position, Monday through Friday from 7:00am - 3:30pm.This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee. What You’ll Do Develops, implements and maintains quality control systems and standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products, ensuring finished products conform to government and company standards and satisfy good manufacturing practices regulationsConducts routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in-process items and finished product according to established operating procedures, calibrating and maintaining lab and analytical equipmentDocuments test procedures that may include stability program testing and formulation studies for compliance to specifications and prepares investigations, summaries and reports of abnormalitiesMakes recommendations for corrective action necessary to ensure conformity with quality specifications and develops testing and analysis methods and procedures in accordance with established guidelines and revises and updates standard operating procedures as neededProvides technical support to the quality assurance and quality engineering functions by conducting inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc., at various stages of the production processReads and interprets complicated blueprints and specifications, including customer and vendor specifications, determining unstated or hidden dimensions from a blueprint, using fractions, decimals, and trigonometry; uses mechanical and electrical measuring toolsUses magnifiers, electronic instruments, calipers, micrometers, snap gauges, HIPOT, automated electrical equipment, and special fixtures and verifies calibration against standardsDevelops and assesses alternative methods to achieve uniform quality including identifying process variablesPerforms critical first-piece inspections and authorizes commencement of productionSorts materials and/or marks defects for repairsInspections may require measurement to close tolerance requiring sensitive touch or judgment   What You'll Need RequiredApplies full skills and knowledge in area of specialization, typically acquired through a combination of job-related vocational training and relevant work experience (2+ years)High School Diploma or GED equivalentExperience with electrical testing and quality in a manufacturing environment Physical Demands Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc. Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor The pay range for this position is $24.00 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education.
