The responsibilities of the Director of Maintenance include but is not limited to: • Develop and maintain written maintenance policies and procedures. • Inspect storage rooms, workrooms, utility/janitorial closets, etc., for upkeep and supply control. • Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies. • Review and develop a plan of correction for maintenance deficiencies noted during survey inspections and provide a written copy of such to the Administrator. • Ensure that outside services are properly completed/supervised in accordance with contracts/work orders. • Delegate a responsible staff member to act in your behalf when you are absent from the facility. • Supervise the day-to-day maintenance functions of assigned personnel. • Develop procedures for performing daily maintenance tasks. • Standardize the methods in which work is accomplished. • Schedule work assignments, prepare work schedules, etc. Revise, as necessary. • Ensure that work schedules are followed as closely as practical. • Ensure that painting, rework or repairing of facility equipment is accomplished in accordance with established policies. • Meet with assigned personnel monthly to assist in identifying and correcting problem areas and/or improving services.Benefits for a Director of Maintenance includes: Competitive pay Shift differentials Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off 401(k) with employer match Employer Paid Life Insurance Paid Meal Period Paid Holiday Off Employee Assistance Program Longevity Credit Short- & Long-Term Disability Uniform Reimbursement Employee Referral Program Free Parking Requirements: • Must possess, as a minimum, a 12 th grade education, or its equivalent. • Must have experience in a supervisory capacity, in a maintenance/plant related position. • Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. • Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints. • Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations. • Be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner. • Be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of forty pounds to a minimum height of three feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of four feet. • Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
