ABC Ambulance is certified as a Ground Ambulance Provider by the Arizona Department of Health Services to serve Maricopa County.Essential Duties/Responsibilities/Qualities for a Paramedic: Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills with both internal field staff and external customersMaintain a calm and professional demeanorAdminister basic life support to patientsCommunicate with medical personnel at treatment facilitiesDemonstrate familiarity with company service areas and medical facilitiesDemonstrate compliance with all Company and customer policies and procedures as they pertain to the coordination of patient care/transportMust possess the ability to efficiently multi-task and work independently as well as within a teamDemonstrate the ability to professionally “control” difficult interactions and effectively direct the flow of the conversationOperate ambulances safely and abide by all lawsMonitor all equipment and provide updates to dispatchThe ability to remain extremely focused in a sometimes turbulent/chaotic environmentMaintain a clean, professional appearance of vehicles, equipment, and personAssist with providing information for investigations of incidents as requiredPunctual attendance with scheduled hours and willingness to work OT when necessaryAbility to maintain confidential information in a manner consistent with applicable laws including but not limited to HIPPADocument accurate details and information in patient reporting systemPerform other duties as assigned by management Position Requirements: High school graduateValid AZ Driver’s LicenseSatisfactory driving record in accordance with ABC Ambulance’s Driving PolicyCurrent state paramedic certificationCurrent CPR pro certification cardCurrent ACLS certificationCurrent PALS certificationExceptional customer service skillsThe ability to multitaskUnderstand basic mathProficient with PC’s, mobile technology, and computer software and applicationsPolite and professionalAbility to utilize time/resources wellReliability and Teamwork a mustAssist in training new employeesDemonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writingSafety consciousFrequent ability to lift, carry, push, and pull greater than 100 pounds without assistanceIntermittent climbing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handlingModerate exposure to weather, extreme heat, wet and/or humid conditions, noise intensity level, darkness/poor lighting, confined spaced, dirt/dust, odors, and other environmental conditionsApplication QuestionsDo you have the following license or certification: Paramedic?
