About the Role: The Administrative Assistant II works in a busy office environment and must efficiently multitask between various assignments. This position plays a key role in the coordination and distribution of work. General Foreman, Project managers, office managers, and field staff are the primary internal customers the Administrative Assistant II supports. Company OverviewSince 1912, Sturgeon Electric Company, Inc. Sturgeon Electric has two divisions, offering both powerline construction and commercial/industrial electrical construction, making it a full-service electrical provider. Sturgeon Electric’s Transmission and Distribution (T&D) construction division provides a full range of capabilities related to  transmission, distribution, substation, and clean energy construction. Essential FunctionsEnsure all assigned tasks are completed accurately and delivered with high quality in a timely mannerData entryHandle various accounting tasksUtilize Microsoft Excel and Quickbase for data management and retentionSubmit and file job packetsAssist clients, vendors, and other walk-in customers by welcoming and directing them appropriatelyAdministrative support for field and office personnelReceive, sort, and disperse mailOperate office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, scanners, phone systems, and computersEfficiently and professionally manage the flow of people and information through the businessRegular and predictable attendanceOther duties as assignedEssential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field locationUnderstand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards, if applicable About You: QualificationsMinimum 5 years of payroll and/or general administrative experienceHigh school diploma or GED is requiredConstruction industry experience preffered Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAbility to maintain a high level of confidentialityWorking knowledge of JD Edwards/payroll system moduleStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelSuperior organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while supporting managementExcellent attention to detailFlexibility to work in various locations throughout the week What We Offer: Compensation & Benefits Eligibility: You will become initially eligible on the first day of the benefit month corresponding to the eligibility month in which you first accumulate at least 125 credited hours.   Salary $55,000-$58,000 / yearCommensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith.
