About you: The ideal candidate has prior experience on the clinical floor in a veterinary setting and demonstrates strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Technical veterinary technician skills are required, including the ability to assist with patient care as needed. Confident in their medical knowledge and client service abilities, this candidate can schedule all appointment types, refill medications, and answer basic client questions. This role is essential in ensuring clear communication between pet owners and the medical team while helping maintain smooth hospital operations in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and a passion for client care. Familiarity with veterinary terminology or a willingness to learn. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, and staff. Exceptional interpersonal skills with a warm, friendly, and empathetic approach to clients and their pets. Ability to handle challenging client situations with tact, patience, and understanding. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and other staff members to ensure smooth clinic operations. Flexibility to assist with other duties as needed and work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, especially in high-stress or emotional situations. Willingness to continue learning and stay updated on best practices in client service and veterinary care. Knowledge of the procedures used for scheduling patients, receiving, treating, ordering medical supplies, and requesting laboratory tests. Knowledge of the use, care, and storage of veterinary instruments, materials, and equipment. Knowledge of sterilization techniques to sterilize various instruments and materials. Knowledge of the instruments, materials, and standardized procedures used in the full variety of treatments to make preparations and provide “tableside” assistance. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing client and personal services. This includes client needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of client satisfaction.
