Experience: • 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months. • Must have at least 24 months of Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the past 3 years. Requirements: • Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission). • This role may require floating to additional units and locations • Local & travel allowed. Additional Details: Types of Patients on Unit: Medical/surgical patients. Ex- hyperbili, neuro, diabetes, failure to thrive, Cystic fibrosis, COVID, ortho. Unit Details: Beds: We share our unit with Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. We occupy 22 beds on the unit and Peds Hem/Onc occupies 10 beds. We have the ability to expand/swing into each units beds depending on census. Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend. Nightshift weekend is Fri/Sat. Holidays are required unless discussed and approved during interview phase. Floating Requirements: RNs can float within the children’s hospital - to other pediatric units, can float to mom/baby to take care of a baby assignment.
