Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Experience: • 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months. • Must have at least 24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience. • Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months. • 24 months of acute care experience. Trauma ICU - Required Required Skills/Experience: IV therapy, Arterial line management, Central line care/management, Respiratory/Thoracic, Ventilator Management, Medications, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, Professional Topics and Skills, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Additional Skills 2 years of recent acute care experience in ICU Preferred Skills/Experience: Assist with management of BiPAP, Assist with management of CPAP, Care of Ventilated Patient, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Suctioning (ETT, NT), Continuous IV sedation, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, Management of dysrhythmias, Titration of IV vasopressors Unit/Facility Details: Level 1 Trauma Center Parking Cost: $2/day at Juvenile Temporary Detention Center (JTDC). A shuttle runs every 15 minutes between Stroger and JTDC Proof of Identification: Drivers License/State ID Shift & Scheduling: No Block Scheduling Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, 2 weekends per month No RTO the day prior or after a holiday. No RTO on weekends. Cook does not approve block schedules or special requests. All time off must comply with the RTO policy. Floating Requirements: Cook is a mandatory float facility; all resources are required to float at the facilities discretion. Cook has the ability to request that any clinician float outside of their “home” facility as long as the floating does not exceed 50 miles.
