Effectively managing the delivery of nursing care requires creating and promoting a professional practice environment at the unit level that exemplifies a vision and goals congruent with the Medical Center and the respective clinical service line as well as high levels of coworker engagement, patient satisfaction, safe and quality clinical outcomes, financial performance and physician satisfaction. Responsible to implement elements of the Nursing Strategic Plan within their departments. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.QualificationsEducation (Required):Bachelorí¢€™s degree required.Internal transfer applicants without a Bachelorí¢€™s degree may be considered if they are actively pursuing a Baccalaureate degree.í¢€œActively pursuingí¢€ is defined as being enrolled in a Baccalaureate program and completing at least one course per semester.Licensure (Required):Must hold a current RN license or RN Temporary Permit in the state of practice.Experience (Required):Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience.Certifications (Required):None specified.Other Requirements:Demonstrated leadership ability and strong interpersonal skills.Proven ability to apply sound principles of management and supervision.Proficiency in using a personal computer and analyzing complex data from various information systems.Preferred QualificationsEducation:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.Masterí¢€™s degree preferred.Licensure:Additional or advanced licensure preferred.Experience:Additional leadership or specialty experience preferred.Certifications:Certification in a specialty area of practice preferred.Other:Additional leadership training or project management experience is a plus.í‚ Weí¢€™re bringing to life a healing ministry through compassionate care.At Mercy, our supportive community will be behind you every step of your day, especially the tough ones.
