Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.Job Summary: Palisades Tahoe is looking for an Electrical Engineer and/or an Electrical Engineering Technician to assist in the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, modernization and installation of the complex control, motor, drive and electrical systems on our ski lifts, tramways, snowmaking systems and overall electrical infrastructure.Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Hourly:The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's total compensation package for employees. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:Work under supervision of the more senior EngineersAssist in troubleshooting of the resorts electrical and control systemsProvide support (both technical and hands-on) during the installation and testing of new electrical and control systemsProvide support to the more senior level team members as required and directed.Work to familiarize yourself with the details of the electrical/control systems on the ski lifts and snowmaking systems at the resortTake lead role in small to mid-size engineering/design projects under direction of the Professional Engineer (PE).Assist in generation of engineering documents and drawingsAssist with document controlPerform low/mid level PLC and HMI programming tasks as directedPerform low/mid level AC / DC Drive programming tasks as directedOngoing maintenance, operation, programming and troubleshooting of the "Resort Wide Monitor System"Competencies and Job Requirements: Familiar with relay based safety systems, PLC based systems, AC and DC Digital motor drives, motor controls and associated systems/equipment. Demonstratable ability to lead/manage small to medium size installation and testing projectsFamiliarity with the National Electric Code (NEC)Familiarity with the electrical requirement of ANSI B77.1 standard for aerial lifts and tramwaysAbility to perform basic programming and monitoring of both AC and DC Digital Motor Drive SystemsFamiliarity with PLC programming software and ability to use Laptop computer to go "Online" with the PLC systems for monitoring and troubleshootingFamiliar with AutoCad Lite software and ability to assist in generation/updating of schematics and drawingsKnowledge of motor control concepts and systemsKnowledge of single-phase and three-phase power distribution systemsOverall understanding of ski lift systems (mechanical and electrical)Must have a valid driver's licenseMust be capable of driving and riding on: Snowmobiles (Training Provided), All Terrain Vehicles such as Side by Side & Four-wheeler (Training Provided)Must have own general electrical tools and multi-meter (Company tool allowance available). Must be capable of occasionally squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and balancing, able to climb ladders and shovel snow. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.Working Conditions:Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently be exposed to outside weather conditions.
