Our client, a leading organization in the automotive manufacturing industry, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer 5 to join their team. As a Supplier Quality Engineer 5, you will be part of the Quality Assurance department supporting manufacturing and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.   Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer 5 Location: Flint, MI Pay Range: depends on years of experience SHIFT: OFF Shift QE Work 11:00PM to 7:00 AM What's the Job? Serve as the technical liaison between purchasing, product engineering, internal manufacturing, and external suppliers. Review and approve supplier quality plans for new component parts and assemblies for vehicle and powertrain programs. Implement and monitor supplier part qualification and certification processes. Identify root causes of manufacturing issues and develop effective, timely solutions. Conduct onsite workshops and provide technical support to improve supplier quality performance. What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field. 10+ years of experience in quality engineering within the automotive or manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of automotive quality, manufacturing, and engineering functions. Proficiency in APQP, PPAP, and statistical problem-solving techniques.
