Staffed with more than 800 physicians, 3200 employees, and 150 volunteers, our hospital is ready to provide you and your family with the quality care you need.At Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, we are committed to quality and excellence in patient care.Qualifications:Required:Bachelor's degree in nursing New Jersey RN LicenseCardiac or Telemetry experience requiredGraduate of an accredited school of nursingStrong communication and organizational skills1-3 years relative clinical practicePreferred:Master's degree in nursing preferredMinimum of 2 years of relevant management/leadership experience preferredRelevant certification preferred (Med./Surg - Telemetry)Goal and outcome orientedDemonstrated Leadership experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCertifications and Licenses Required:BLS upon hire and ACLS within 6 months of start dateActive New Jersey Registered Nurse LicenseScheduling Requirements:Full-Time Day, 36 hours per week - salaried positionMonday - Friday, may require some weekend/holiday coverageEssential Functions:Responsibilities:The Assistant Director of Patient Care role will assist the Director in overseeing all clinical operations in the unit.The Assistant Director will assist in managing the day-to-day clinical operations of the unit through oversight of all clinical staff and quality improvement, with the goal of cost-efficient, high-quality, value-driven care under the direction of the Director.Assists in the planning, implementation and evaluation of operations of the Department consisting of a group of clearly defined personnel.Assists in the direction of and participates in the Department's planning, budgeting, education and human resources activities.Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards and regulatory governing bodies.
