The position will have responsibility for planning, tracking, and execution of complex tasking within technical, schedule, and budget constraints. The program involves diverse technology areas including electronics, energetics, Magazine production, and final system Acceptance Testing. The position will also be customer facing and represent the program in the absence of the Senior Director.Days/week with some telework flexibilityPrimary Responsibilities:Evaluate and guide daily execution activities in support of the Senior DirectorLead IPT meetings and set expectations for project teamRoutinely evaluate program technical and programmatic metrics to ensure successful executionManage risk and identify opportunities at the IPT level including working with the IPT to develop mitigation strategies and plans to realize opportunitiesWork with Program Supplier Program Manager(s) and CAM(s) to ensure technical, schedule, and cost requirements are being metActively participate in change management including developing business cases for changes recommended by the IPT, assessing supply chain vulnerability related to contemplated changes and incorporating changes approved by the Change Control BoardCoordinate program activities across multiple functional activities.Foster intra-project coordination and communicationAid program manager in mitigating cost, schedule, and technical risks related to materials used on the programPlan and execute a hardware centric projectDefine tasks and required resourcesAssist with assembling and managing project teamWork with program schedulers to maintain scheduleOversight of the technical scope under the assigned control accountsOwnership of the control account budgets and schedules:Variance analysis (SPI/CPI/TCPI)Schedule analysis (BEI/CEI)BCR submittalsStatus of work package tasks under assigned control accountValidation of actual costs charged to the assigned control accountsDevelopment and implementation of corrective actionsGeneration of timely Estimated to Completes (ETC)Coordinating release of work authorizations to team membersDevelopment, management, and coordination of various informational products to support:Weekly Program Management Reviews (PMRs)Weekly senior management meetingsMonthly internal and external programmatic reviewsCustomer IPT meetingsTracking and providing status of internal and external action itemsPerforming supply chain vulnerability assessments on purchased parts and raw material needed for the programBasic Qualifications:A bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited university with previous project management experience is required (8 year’s relevant experience as a project/program manager and 12 years of experience with aerospace product development and production programs), or a Master's degree with 10 - 13 years of experience.Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Experience supporting a multi-year development/production program valuing more than $100M.Flight Programs (Missile, Space Launch or Rocket launch systems)Cost estimating and Budget managementOrganizational/IPT developmentLeading a large and diverse team including suppliers and subcontractorsDisciplined metric-driven program managementProven experience managing to and meeting tight schedulesEffective communication of information between various functional disciplines as well as strong briefing skill with Sr. Gov’t customers (SES, General Staff) and C level leadership.Proficient using Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPointStrong understanding of hardware development, manufacturing, procurement, production, and integrationExperience successfully leading in an IPT organizational structure focused on engineering design, manufacturing and/or supply chain activities desirableProject management qualification (PMP) or equivalent is desirableExperience in strategic and tactical planning is desirableProven leadership skillsProven history of working in a team environment, fostering communication, listening to teammate concerns and reconciling internal issues or differencesProven ability to solicit and process complex information and data to solve complex problems and make sound decisionsStrong interpersonal skills with measured and articulate communication skillsAnalytical and strong organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written abilityIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
