Job DescriptionAramark Facilities Management is hiring an experienced HVAC Technician to support the General Motors Technical Center, a large-scale, highly technical research and engineering campus.This role is intended for a senior-level HVAC professional with extensive hands-on experience working in commercial or industrial environments. The work involves complex mechanical and control systems where safety, precision, and judgment are critical.Candidates must possess a valid State of Michigan HVAC license OR a recognized Journeyman Card, along with a minimum of 8 years of documented HVAC experience.Job ResponsibilitiesOperate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair complex HVAC systems across a large industrial campusWork with boilers, chillers, cooling towers, heat recovery systems, pumps, fans, VFDs, and refrigeration equipmentMonitor and adjust HVAC and energy systems to optimize performance and efficiencyPerform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenanceTroubleshoot mechanical and electrical HVAC issues using root cause analysisRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer specificationsInstall, repair, and adjust controls, thermostats, ductwork, piping, and auxiliary equipmentRespond to system alarms and restore equipment to proper operationUse a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to document workWork safely at heights and in confined spaces when requiredMentor apprentices and support other HVAC technicians as neededFollow all Aramark and GM Technical Center safety and operating standards At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers.
