Job Summary The Project Manager, Waste Management Services reports to the Manager, Branch Operations, and is responsible for supporting all aspects of waste management operations at their assigned location. The Project Manager, Waste Management Services, is a highly self-motivated manager that provides exemplary leadership and integrity to the workforce. The Project Manager’s responsibilities include establishing short and long-term goals, supporting the workforce. This role requires some degree of cross-business, collaboration and support. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of waste management and environmental regulations. Essential Functions Supports the hazardous and chemical waste programs for clients onsite following the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and other state and federal government agencies’ regulations. Supports preparation in proposals Waste Management Services. Work with the Program Manager and Director Waste Management Services to set the strategic direction and growth plan. Supports all client relationships, the growth of existing accounts, and the resolution of customer issues. Actively manages wastes disposal and compliance for PES clients Other reasonable directives, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. Education and Experience. College degree preferred; professional certifications (PG, PE, CHMM, etc.) 5+ years of hazardous waste management 2+ years of RCRA Compliance Driving record that meets company standards and current DMV printout, required. Knowledge of federal, state, and location hazardous waste and safety regulations is required. Preferred Qualifications Ability to work independently, diligently and successfully. Strong financial acumen. Effective organization and prioritization skills. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of lab testing techniques and requirements. Ability to work collaboratively and utilize analysis to solve complex problems. Highly developed ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations. RCRA and DOT training certificates required. Work Environment Continuous sitting and tasks involving repetitive motions using wrists, hands and fingers are required for periods of 6-8+ hours at a time. Frequent pushing or pulling of weights, twisting, and crouching for prolonged periods are required. Frequent carrying of weights from 0-50 pounds is required. This job operates in an office environment, with some travel required.
