Inspect, service, repair and install two or more suppression product lines, emergency lights, fire extinguishers, pre-engineered and industrial systems according to safety requirements and manufacturer’s specifications.How you will do itThis position is primarily a technician role with some sales responsibilities. Make recommendations based on manufacturer’s specifications and state/local codes. Identify deficiencies. Quote, sell, and repair on-site. Up-sell existing customers to new product offerings and services to meet compliance with current fire code regulations. What we look forRequiredKnowledge of the fire protection industry. Willing and able to climb and work in awkward and cramped positions, working around kitchen equipment, stairwells, fire escapes, etc.High School diploma or equivalent.Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.Must have or meet the requirements for an Extinguisher and pre-engineered permit.Willing and able to make cold calls to potential new business, approximately 2-3 hours per week.Flexibility with working hours, including occasional nights and weekends, to support customer needsHigh School diploma or equivalent.Able and willing to be on-call one week per month for kitchen suppression.Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and carry for up to 50 yards.Positive attitude, self-motivated, strong organizational. Strong communication skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.1+ years of customer service experience. Able to pass a drug and background check.Preferred2 – 5 or more years of experience with service in the fire protection industry.
