Function: Engineering and Engineering Services Job Summary: The E&I Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the E&I Engineering team and ensures that all site electrical and instrumentation engineering activities comply with regulations, codes and standards, department practices, and management expectations. The selected candidate will supervise and develop a team of electrical engineers as well as utilizing outside engineering resources when necessary. The successful E&I Engineering Supervisor must have a good understanding of electrical infrastructure, electrical distribution, and instrumentation systems, along with experience overseeing the engineering design process. They must communicate well within the Engineering Department and with other site stakeholders to ensure the team's work product meets expectations to improve the safe, reliable, and capital efficient operation of the Donaldsonville Complex. Job Description: Job Responsibilities: Provide strong leadership to the E&I Engineering team, which includes approximately six CF and contract personnel with expertise in E&I Engineering. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment by advising, mentoring, and training team members. Offer guidance and support to engineers to enhance their technical skills and professional growth. Assign responsibilities to E&I Engineering staff to provide support to Operations and Maintenance in tasks required to improve operating unit performance and/or reliability, troubleshoot issues, support capital project design and execution, and support or prepare for plant outages. Lead select tasks from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with site priorities, engineering standards, and operational goals. Provide hands-on engineering work, coordinate cross-functional resources, and drive timely delivery of project milestones. Supervise the diagnosis of E&I equipment failures and ensure adequate repair recommendations are developed and implemented to enhance equipment on-stream reliability. Encourage continuous learning and development in areas of responsibilities (e.g. electrical power systems, instrumentation systems, on-line analyzers, etc.) and ensure that the group remains well rounded and able to continuously support the site. Ensure that the E&I scope of all Donaldsonville capital projects is adequately defined at each stage of the project budgeting process, and that the team meets engineering, design and other milestones needed to support project implementation. Maintain continuous communication with the Chief Plant Engineer and E&I Maintenance Superintendent to actively prioritize resources. Ensure that the highest priority operational issues and projects are completed in a timely manner. Ensure quality and completion of E&I Engineering scope for changes needed to support reliability improvements, action item closure, etc. Identify and define projects needed to improve the safe and reliable operation of site-wide power transmission, electrical distribution, and instrumentation systems. Work with CF stakeholders to define and maintain E&I Engineering design and installation standards. Ensure all operating units receive the support needed to troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems issues. This includes ensuring 24-hour support is available when necessary, especially during plant outages or project implementation. Ensure E&I designs comply with plant specifications, standards, requirements, and design codes, and that the documentation produced and published accurately replicates the design intent. Review project design and construction packages as necessary to ensure quality and completeness. Act as a site and corporate resource on NEC, NFPA, IEEE, ISA, and other recognized standards for electrical and instrumentation equipment design, installation, operation, and maintenance. Be self-motivated, able to prioritize tasks in response to evolving plant needs, a good decision maker, and determined to continually expand knowledge of industry standards and practices for the benefit of personal growth and the company. Continuously work to improve site EHS performance by ensuring CF EHS Policies and Procedures and CF Operating Standards are incorporated in E&I Engineering programs and actively supporting the CF E&I Maintenance Best Practice Team. Position Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited university required. Electrical Engineering degree preferred. A minimum of seven years of E&I engineering related experience in the oil, gas, or chemical manufacturing industry. Effective communication skills (written and verbal) required. Must be able to communicate and interact with personnel of varied backgrounds and at all levels in the organization. Strong management skills required, including team leadership, decision making, and prioritizing activities in a dynamic environment. Ability and desire to train and develop the E&I Engineering team. Proficient with Microsoft Office software. Able to work occasional nights and weekends as necessary to support department requirements. Must be able to climb stairs and ladders and work at heights. Must be able to acquire Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC). The ability to prove drug and alcohol free at random or for cause.
