Work Perks: Depending on the role and community, you may receive free meals on shift, on-demand pay (access to your wages as soon as you earn them), and a supportive, team-driven environment.ResponsibilitiesPerforms general maintenance work on a daily basis, including replacing light bulbs and completing basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repairs.Prepares resident rooms for new occupants by painting, cleaning carpets, and completing general maintenance, working independently or as part of a team to meet readiness standards.Maintains exterior grounds through mowing, sweeping, trimming trees and shrubs, and related tasks to ensure a consistently presentable appearance.Conducts regular inspections of building exteriors, grounds, equipment, storage areas, work rooms, and utility or janitorial closets to ensure proper upkeep, supply control, and operational readiness.Supervises the Maintenance Assistant and overnight Security Guards, providing direction and oversight to support daily operations and safety coverage.Works with vendors to coordinate maintenance services, repairs, and inspections as needed.Participates in the management of life and safety systems, including fire alarms, fire suppression systems wet and dry, generators, and fire drills.Maintains accurate maintenance records related to work performed, inventory, and purchasing. Manages expenses with awareness of budget and may purchase maintenance supplies, tools, and appliances. May maintain inventory of the master key system.QualificationsRequires 5+ years of related maintenance experience and some formal training in one or all of the following areas: carpentry, plumbing, painting, HVAC, refurbishing and cleaning. Ability to perform general maintenance repair needs at assigned location, problem solve, plan, organize, communicate, and cooperate with others.
