Relocation bonus available for 1yr+ experience and >50mi To perform routine and specialized diagnostic radiological procedures for patients of all ages in order to confirm or deny required treatment. This requires independent judgment to adapt procedures to obtain specific diagnostic results under the direction of a Radiologist. QualificationsCertifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)American Heart Association (AHA); Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA); Registered in Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Education: Certificate of Completion: Radiologic Technology; Associate's Degree: Radiologic Technology, Work Experience: Related field ResponsibilitiesClinical ExcellencePerforms radiologic diagnostic procedures in a manner that ensures an accurate and complete examination within the guidelines, policies, procedures and standards of medical imagingExhibits competency and is the resource person to staff when performing radiographic proceduresKnowledgeable about views required for each exam enhancing image quality through the use of appropriate filters, collimation, markers and patient identificationMaintains quality care throughout the procedure, making patient as comfortable as possible, practicing radiation protection through shielding and collimation whenever possibleProper care of the patient is efficient and expedientMaintains expert working knowledge of equipment and resource person for troubleshootingMaintains clean work area, checks and stocks all supplies in their specific area and verifies pertinent accessories to that roomPerforms lab testing as appropriateDepartmental SupportPerforms support functions of the medical imaging department to ensure patient expectations and needs are met.Promptly and accurately processes and prepares images and paper work to ensure timely turn around in providing a reportMaintains and coordinates patient flow to ensure efficient and expedient patient care assisting in patient transport to and from the department as requiredPromptly and accurately enters patient information into HIS system and accurately completes all fields in the HIS Radiant and PACSMaintains and ensures a safe environment for patients and personnel and maintenance of the QA, QC, QI programsEmployee Development/Clinical ExcellenceAssumes personal responsibility for training fellow technologists/students and uses time, supplies and other resources productively. Compensation and BenefitsThe compensation range for this position is $28.94per hour - $49.78per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
