Entity: Customers & ProductsJob Family Group: Procurement & Supply Chain Management GroupJob Description: Overview:As a member of the Plant Leadership Team, the Warehouse Operations Team Lead is accountable for the safe, reliable, and cost-effective execution of 24-hour / 5-day warehouse and shipping operations at Castrol’s Port Allen lubricants facility.This role requires a visible, hands-on leader who sets the standard for HSSE and quality, leads hourly teams and third-party contractors, and drives measurable improvements in safety, service, cost, and productivity across warehouse operations.What you will deliver Lead, coach, and develop hourly warehouse employees and on-site third-party contractors across shipping and warehouse operationsServe as Subject Process Authority (SPA) for warehouse and shipping operations, ensuring disciplined execution and continuous improvementSet clear performance expectations and deliver regular, candid feedback and semi-annual reviews for hourly personnelEnsure workforce capability through effective training, qualification, and verification using the DACA frameworkDemonstrate visible HSSE leadership, actively intervening to prevent incidents and reinforce safe behaviorsEnsure product quality in accordance with bp Lubricants Global Quality standards, addressing deviations through root-cause analysisOwn daily and weekly KPI performance, translating data into corrective actions and sustained improvementsLead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, standard work) with direct engagement from the workforcePartner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Planning, Manufacturing, HSSE, and Quality teams to resolve issues and improve flowEnsure compliance with procedures and work instructions through routine field audits and coachingMaintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment using 5S and visual managementEnsure rigorous adherence to the Management of Change (MOC) process for all operational changesExecute assigned OMS risk ownership and assurance responsibilitiesParticipate as an active member of the site Incident Command Structure (ICS) per the Facility Response PlanWhat you will need to be successful Education Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related fieldEquivalent operational leadership experience consideredExperience:3–5 years of experience in warehouse, shipping, or logistics operations within a manufacturing or industrial environmentDemonstrated people leadership experience managing hourly teamsStrong working knowledge of shipping, distribution, and inventory control processesExperience using SAP for execution, reporting, or master data managementTrack record of driving operational improvements, not just maintaining performancePreferredExposure to labor relations and workforce engagementExperience leading training, onboarding, or skills development programsFamiliarity with Lean, Kaizen, or continuous improvement toolsSkills & Competencies:•                  Demonstrating strong leadership traits especially in the area of HSSE.•                  Directing a team in substantial continuous improvement efforts.•                  Leading by example and accomplishing goals while engaging entire team in the process.•                  Excellent interpersonal skills as well as written and verbal skills.•                  Analytical problem-solving skills.•                  Strong PC skills•                  Working with plant Staff & Hourly personal on day to day operations/planning.•                SAP experienceRequirementsMust hold or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card for the Port Allen, LA facility Skills & CompetenciesStrong HSSE mindset with a bias for proactive risk reductionAbility to lead from the floor and influence without relying on authorityData-driven problem solver who turns insight into actionClear and confident communicator across all levels of the organizationComfortable balancing hands-on execution with leadership responsibilitiesProficient in SAP and standard business applicationsWhy join usAt bp, we support our people to learn and grow in a diverse and daring environment.
