Job Title: Lead, Linen Service WorkerLocation: Monmouth Medical CenterDepartment Name: LaundryReq #: 0000230799Status: HourlyShift: DayPay Range: $16.96 - $18.97 per hourPay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.Job Overview:The Lead Linen Service Worker evaluates linen amounts needed for outpatient areas daily. They pack carts and baskets based upon area need and census. Maintain daily tracking forms. Handles special requests for items that go specifically to certain departments, and orders items as needed. Handles phone requests. Takes charge of department and employees in manager's absence. Makes linen adjustments as needed from laundry plant. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.Qualifications:Required:High School Diploma or Equivalent3-12 months experience in general laundryScheduling Requirements:7:00am-3:30pmDays vary with rotating weekends and holidaysFull TimeEssential Functions:Answer telephones and take messages appropriatelyAssembles and places linen on exchange carts for delivery to nursing units according to pre-established scheduled and par levelsEvaluate delivery sheet and call any necessary quantity adjustments to laundryMaintain daily log/tracking formsMaintain the department and soiled utility rooms in a clean and safe environmentStock all clean linen on exchange cartBenefits and Perks:At RWJBarnabas Health, our employees are at the heart of everything we do.
