Far Rockaway Center is looking for an Recreation CNA to work in our facility in Far Rockaway, NY.Candidate must be a licensed CNADUTIES:Assist department staff with the implementation of activities and programs for Residents; focusing on individual interestsWork directly with Residents on unitsAssist [Recreation Director] and set up, [implement, and clean up] programs as neededOrganize and obtain supplies and equipment as requestedAssist recreation specialists & set up program areas as neededKeep daily attendance and document residents’ participation in activitiesAssist residents to program location and return residents to appropriate unitsCollaborate with Recreation Director to create/modify the recreation calendar and coordinate with outside parties to implement recreational activities. Distribute calendars.Be familiar with established emergency proceduresOther duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:Positive attitude and energy is a must!!Experience with activities in healthcare settings or college work in recreation therapyPrevious experience with Geriatric population preferredProficient computer skills necessaryAbility to work effectively as a team memberStrong organizational & planning skills; ability to multi-taskAbout us:Far Rockaway Center is a 100-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility located in Far Rockaway, New York.
