Job Title: Parts ClerkCompany: Novak Sanitary Services, a Waste Connections CompanyLocation: Sioux Falls, SDSchedule: Full-Time Position SummaryThe Parts Clerk is responsible for supporting fleet and maintenance operations by managing inventory, ordering parts and supplies, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent internal customer service. This role plays a critical part in keeping vehicles and equipment operational while supporting safety, efficiency, and cost control.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOrder, receive, and issue parts, tools, and supplies for fleet maintenance and shop operationsMaintain accurate inventory records, including tracking usage, stock levels, and reordering needsCoordinate with vendors to obtain pricing, place orders, resolve backorders, and ensure timely deliveryVerify shipments for accuracy and inspect parts for damage or defectsOrganize and maintain parts room, storage areas, and inventory systemsWork closely with mechanics and maintenance supervisors to identify parts needs and ensure availabilityProcess invoices, packing slips, and purchase orders in accordance with company policiesConduct routine cycle counts and participate in physical inventory auditsMaintain safety standards and proper handling of materialsAssist with warranty claims and core returns as neededPerform other duties as assigned to support operationsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious experience in parts inventory, warehouse, or maintenance support preferredKnowledge of heavy-duty truck parts, equipment, or fleet operations is a plusBasic computer skills and experience with inventory or purchasing systemsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environmentEffective communication and customer service skillsForklift experience or ability to obtain certification preferredPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workdayWork in a shop or warehouse environment, including exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperaturesCompensation and BenefitsCompetitive pay based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matchPaid time off and holidaysCareer growth opportunities within Waste ConnectionsUniforms and safety equipment provided where applicableJoin Our Team Today!If you"re looking for a career where your skills matter, your work is valued, and your growth is supported, Waste Connections is the place for you!?
