Additional Information About the RoleUp to a 2,000 Sign on BonusShift information: M-F 8-hour shift; hybrid with in-person and virtual capability to meet with clients and staff. Hours vary on caseload, must be willing to flex time to meet the needs your caseload. (Working 5 days a week with ability to flex time on weekends if needed to meet the needs of the hospitals)Types of clients: Patients (18 and under) at St. Louis Children's Hospital Clients with complex needs, including but not limited to: extended length of stay, various psychiatric diagnoses, IDD/DD (intellectual/developmental disabilities), Autism, Chronic behavioral Dysregulation, and eating disordersLocation: Louis Children's Hospital will be home base. May need to help cover at other BJC HSOs in the STL or rural area. What is the team dynamic for this department: They will work closely with the hospital treatment teams in the emergency departments, inpatient medical/behavioral health units, care coordination teams, community partners, and family members.Ideal Skill Set:  ABA trained, familiar with pediatric/adolescent population, may be required to help cover adults at other BJC HSOs outside of St. Louis Children's. Can work alone, can develop treatment plans, can use technology and document in an EHR.  A lot of walking and being at the bedside of the patients. Able to educate multidisciplinary staff on how to approach, work with, communicate with, and help the patients with diverse needs. A lot of staff/parent coaching is involved with this position. OverviewBJC Behavioral Health is a community health center that provides and coordinates behavioral health services for more than 8,000 seriously mentally ill adults and seriously emotionally disturbed children in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Franí§ois, Iron and Washington counties.  As an Administrative Agent of the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), BJC Behavioral Health serves as a major point of entry for people eligible for mental health services funded by DMH and is responsible for serving as gatekeeper to the public mental health system.    Preferred QualificationsRole PurposeThe Board-Certified Behavior Analyst will be responsible for providing services to patients with developmental and/or behavioral difficulties. In this role, the BCBA will collect and analyze data to develop, monitor, and evaluate behavioral treatment plans. The BCBA will also provide consultation and training to families and professionals, as well as collaborate with other professionals to develop effective treatment plans. The BCBA will work collaboratively with the treatment team to address challenging behaviors, identify replacement behaviors resulting in a reduction in workplace violence events. ResponsibilitiesPartners with CPI team to help support behavioral escalations, as appropriate.Conduct functional assessments to identify the antecedents, behaviors and consequences of behavior.Develop behavior intervention plans, including strategies for teaching new skills.Provide consultation to families, caregivers and other professionals.Collect and analyze data as directed.BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position.
