This role is responsible for planning and coordinating domestic container drayage for inbound freight, ensuring timely container movement, cost control, and strong coordination with internal partners and external logistics providers. The ideal candidate brings a solid understanding of international and domestic freight flows, strong execution skills, and a results-driven mindset. What You Will Do:Serve as the primary point of contact for container drayage providers, providing freight quotes and coordinating activity with the International PlannerDevelop and execute transportation plans with drayage carriers and internal stakeholders to support inbound container movementsTrack containers from origin through final yard delivery, ensuring appointments are scheduled and accurately reflected in transportation systemsProactively manage pre-pulls prior to last free day at ports or yards to avoid demurrage and detention chargesManage expedite and exception shipment requests, evaluating options and recommending cost- and service-effective solutionsOversee accessorial charge processes, communicate impacts to internal stakeholders, and prepare final charge reportingBuild and maintain strong working relationships with logistics partners, including drayage carriers, freight forwarders, and warehouse operatorsMonitor, analyze, and report logistics performance metrics to support service and cost improvement efforts What You’re Good At:Understanding international and domestic freight movement, including port operations, drayage, and inland transportationCommunicating logistics issues clearly and effectively at all levels of the organizationCollaborating cross-functionally across operations, logistics, manufacturing, and supply chain teamsManaging multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentBuilding productive relationships with customers, suppliers, carriers, and internal partners What You Have:Strong knowledge of transportation, logistics, or supply chain operationsResults-oriented mindset with a focus on execution and problem resolutionSound business acumen and customer-focused approach
