The Lift Maintenance Mechanic II/III will be responsible for leading the daily crew independently and successfully. This is a year-round, benefit eligible position. The compensation range for this role is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.ESSENTIAL DUTIESYear-round mechanical and electrical maintenance on all types of tramwaysResponsible for accurate & timely record keeping including monthly & daily operational checks, work orders, parts inventory for all jobsResponsible for training lift operators and lift maintenance staffComplete daily duties as assigned by the Lift Maintenance SupervisorMake lists of parts and service neededWork on and assist with lift construction projectsRead and understand service books, prints, and drawingsTroubleshoot various lift issuesPractice safe rigging techniquesDrive all types of vehiclesMaintain a clean and safe work environment at all times in accordance with OSHA guidelinesAttend staff meetings and training as required by the resortContinuously learn new technical information and techniques in order to stay current with rapidly changing technologyEffectively able to plan and predict upcoming maintenanceAssist with state inspectionsAttend service schools and teachingsMust effectively communicate with team, management, and various departments (lifts, grooming, activities, snowmaking, etc.)Additional duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTSHigh School Diploma or equivalentVermont Tramway School level 1 & 24-6+ years experience in Lift MaintenanceLicenses must be issued in the country or state in which the employee works, unless exceptions have been approved by a Senior LeaderValid driver's licenseExperience with heavy equipment, vehicles, machine shop, & power toolsMust be able to lift 60 lbs. unassistedMust be able to perform maintenance at high heights in all weather conditionsAbility to learn and to teach othersStrong communication skillsAble to multitask and stay organizedPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS This position may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
