Function: Finance & Accounting Job Summary: This role has responsibility for managing and assisting each plant's month-end and year-end processes/analysis and assists, where necessary, in keeping the process efficient and effective (e.g. analytical review of key journal entries, reconciliation of inventory, balance sheets and costing processes). The incumbent also manages the cost accounting function with month-end and year-end analysis and assists, where necessary, in keeping with accuracy, timeliness and efficiency targets. This includes leading the cost accounting team in preparing monthly and quarterly analysis of financial results and assisting in the preparation and presentation to senior management the results of the financial analysis.The incumbent identifies and initiates process improvement projects (both business process and technology driven) with respect to day-to-day plant accounting operations and corporate cost accounting.
