Job DescriptionAramark is hiring a Groundskeeper to support Facilities operations at Virginia Wesleyan University. This role is responsible for the maintenance, appearance, and safety of campus grounds, including landscaping, seasonal cleanup, and response to inclement weather. This position is well-suited for candidates with hands-on grounds and landscape maintenance experience who enjoy working outdoors and take pride in maintaining a clean, professional campus environment.CompensationHourly Pay Range: $16.00 ? $22.00 per hourPay is based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skill level. This range represents Aramark?s good-faith estimate at the time of posting.Job ResponsibilitiesMaintain and improve campus grounds in alignment with sustainability and campus standardsPerform routine groundskeeping tasks, including:Mowing, trimming, edging, and weedingPlanting, fertilizing, raking, sweeping, and debris collectionLeaf removal and seasonal cleanupSnow and ice removal as requiredApply planned landscaping designs to meet site needsOperate grounds and landscaping equipment, including:Zero-turn mowers, wide-area mowers, reel mowersWeed eaters, hedge trimmersSaws, sprayers, and hand toolsOperate trucks, tractors, and equipment attachments as neededClean and maintain sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and exterior walkwaysPerform routine maintenance and minor repairs on grounds equipment and toolsFollow all safety policies and procedures and promptly report equipment issues or hazards Physical & Work EnvironmentOutdoor work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, and precipitationFrequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and use of power equipmentRequired use of uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)QualificationsPrevious groundskeeping or landscape maintenance experience requiredExperience in campus, institutional, or commercial environments preferredAbility to safely operate groundskeeping equipment and vehiclesAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditionsStrong attention to safety and quality standardsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamThis role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.
