Our mission is to advance the health and well-being of our communities as a leader in clinical laboratory solutions.This opportunity is-LOCATION:  Hilo, HawaiiStatus: Full-TimeOnsite- Opportunity Days: Monday - FridayHOURS:  1st Shift TBDBase Pay: 65k-80k annually In this role, you will-Under minimal supervision and in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and guidelines, this position:Reviews group account and ancillary billings for our hospital partnersUpdates and maintains CPT and billing codes in all financial systemsUpdates and maintains multiple fee schedules in our financial systemsAssists in the preparation of reports as requiredAssists other departments and billing teams as neededSubmits claims (manually or electronically) to insurance payers in a timely mannerPrepares, verifies, electronically submits or mails periodic billing statements to customers/clients in a timely mannerAccurately processes, reconciles and posts payer/patient payments to customer accountsInvestigate and resolve rejected/denied claims and resubmit for payment to the insurance provider and/or patientReviews and responds to correspondence in accordance with company policies and proceduresResponds to and resolve issues for customers in a timely and efficient mannerPerforms sorting, filing, typing, photocopying, and data entry as requiredPerforms account collection activities as requiredAdheres to confidentiality, safety, compliance, and legal requirementsMaintains consistent and reliable attendance and complies with company guidelines on attendancePerforms other duties as assignedAll you need is: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in laboratory science is preferredMedical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPC) knowledge preferredManual/electronic claim filing and processing knowledge preferredMinimum three (3) years office experience required, preferably in a medical billing environmentExperience and proficiency with accounting software, PC computers including word processing and spreadsheets, and 10-key calculatorsStrong math, analytical, and data entry skills requiredStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills requiredAdditional requirements may apply and change without notice, including, but not limited to hospital, required criminal background checks, health clearance, and compliance trainingWe’ll give you:Appreciation for your workA feeling of satisfaction that you’ve helped peopleOpportunity to grow in your professionFree lab services for you and your dependentsWork-life balance, including Paid Time Off and Paid HolidaysCompetitive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insuranceHelp saving for retirement with a 401(k) plus a company matchA sense of belonging – we’re a community!Scheduled Weekly Hours:40Work Shift:Job Category:Accounts ReceivableCompany:Clinical Laboratories of Hawaii, LLPIn 2008 Clinical Labs of Hawaii became a member of Sonic Healthcare Ltd.
