Apply today for our RN Transplant Cellular Therapy opening and continue to learn!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Transplant and Cellular Therapy RN to perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act with emphasis on nursing process and outcomes for cellular therapy and complex blood cancer patients. The RN is responsible for the delivery and management of patient care, education of the patient and family, providing/coordinating psychosocial/emotional support, and coordination of all aspects of care among internal and external facilities.You will support the achievement of internal/external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations.You will apply principles of oncology nursing. Provides emotional, spiritual, religious, and cultural support to patients and their significant others.You will apply principles of ASCO/ONS Chemotherapy Guidelines.You will apply principles of FACT related to specific transplant related care to develop a comprehensive understanding of the care needs of cellular therapy patients. This includes, but not limited to, administration of preparative regimens, supportive therapies, and care interventions to manage chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and cellular therapy complications.You will perform comprehensive nursing assessments regarding the health status of the patient. Comprehensive assessment to include a cellular therapy focus. RN will evaluate side effects as it relates to chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation, and immune effector cell therapy.You will perform nursing care based on ASCO, ONS, and FACT guidelines when administering chemotherapy and infusing immune effector cells or hematopoietic stem cells.You will need to be able to recognize complications and emergencies related to cellular therapies that require rapid notification.You will formulate a nursing care plan based on determination of nursing diagnoses and identified problems.You will provide education, emotional support and age specific care to foster a partnership with the patient and significant others.You will provide for the care of multiple patients (individual and family) through either direct care or assignment and/or delegation of care to other members of the healthcare team.You will represent the organization positively within the community; participates in company-supported community/patient events and in-services.What qualifications you will need:Graduate from an accredited school of nursingBachelor’s degree preferred.Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nevada.Current BCLS CertificationAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)1+ years of RN experience required.3+ years of RN relevant experience preferred.Chemotherapy and Biotherapy CertificationTransplant and Cellular Therapy trained.Bone Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse (BMT-CN) or Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) obtained within 2 years of employment required.Completion of Intermediate Medical Care (IMC) competency within one year of hireHCA Healthcare has been named one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies by Ethisphere Institute for ten consecutive years (2010-2019).
