Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Experience: • 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months. • Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience. • Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months. • 24 months of acute care experience.• Trauma Level 1 experience is required from any number of months Requirements: • Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission). • This role may require floating to additional units and locations • Local & travel allowed. Candidates living • COVID vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted. • Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted. • No current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Cook County. Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Required Skills/Experience: - 2 years of recent acute care experience in Med/Surg. - Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Nasal Cannula, Non‑invasive airway management, Oxygen administration, Med/Surg, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Isolation Precautions / PPE Preferred Skills/Experience: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Tracheostomy care/management Unit/Facility Details: Locals preferred. Special Requests: With no more than 2 consecutive. No holiday RTO. No RTO the day prior or after a holiday. No RTO on weekends. All time off must comply with the RTO policy. Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend/ 2 weekends per month Floating Requirements: Cook is a mandatory float facility, and all resources are required to float based on facility needs and discretion. Cook has the ability to request that any clinician float outside of their “home” facility as long as the floating does not exceed 50 miles. Travelers may receive notification to float 2 hours before their shift. If your clinician refuses to float, they will be subject to cancelation. There are no home units. Your clinician could be floated to a variety of units, including outside of their primary area of competency. If they are floated outside of their primary competency, the team-based model will be used. Details: • AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined. 5 days maximum time off.
