Job DescriptionThe General Manager serves as the senior on-site operations leader for Aramark?s Facilities Services partnership at the General Motors Wentzville Assembly Center. This role is accountable for the overall performance, safety, financial results, and client satisfaction of all facilities operations supporting a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment. The General Manager provides strategic leadership and hands-on operational oversight across custodial services, facilities maintenance, subcontracted services, safety programs, and administrative functions. This leader ensures services are delivered consistently, safely, and in alignment with GM?s operational standards, production schedules, and compliance requirements. This is a critical salaried leadership role requiring a proven operator who can lead in a fast-paced, industrial manufacturing environment where reliability, discipline, and execution are non-negotiable.Job ResponsibilitiesProvide overall leadership, direction, and accountability for Facilities Services operations at the General Motors Wentzville Assembly CenterLead and develop on-site leadership teams, including managers, supervisors, and frontline leadersEnsure all services meet or exceed contractual requirements, safety standards, and GM operational expectationsOwn day-to-day execution across:Custodial and janitorial servicesFacilities and building maintenanceSubcontracted and specialty servicesDrive a strong safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA, GM safety protocols, and Aramark standardsServe as the primary point of contact for GM plant leadership, building trust through consistent performance and communicationManage full financial responsibility, including:Budget development and executionLabor planning and productivity managementForecasting, cost controls, and variance managementDevelop and execute annual operating plans, KPIs, and performance goalsLead staffing strategies, including hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and succession planningOversee vendor and subcontractor performance, ensuring service quality and responsivenessProactively identify and resolve operational risks, service gaps, and compliance issuesEnsure effective utilization of CMMS, IWMS, and industrial facilities systemsConduct audits, inspections, and operational reviews to drive continuous improvementChampion a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvementAt Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. In order to meet our commitments, job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice. Qualifications In order to be prepared for this leadership role, qualified candidates will possess:Bachelor?s degree in Business, Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field required10+ years of progressive leadership experience in facilities management, operations, or industrial servicesRequired experience supporting manufacturing or industrial environments, preferably automotiveProven success leading large, complex operations with significant labor forces and multiple service linesStrong background in:Operations and people leadershipBudgeting and full P&L accountabilitySafety and compliance in industrial settingsVendor and subcontractor managementDemonstrated ability to partner with plant leadership and senior client stakeholdersExperience working in environments with strict safety, quality, and production requirementsWorking knowledge of facilities technologies, CMMS, and building systemsStrong executive presence with the ability to:Set clear expectationsHold leaders accountableMake disciplined decisions under pressureCommunicate effectively with frontline teams and executivesHighly organized, results-driven, and operationally disciplined This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.
