Clinical Supervisor – Developmental Support Services (DSS) Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (Hybrid) Position Overview The Clinical Supervisor plays a critical role in supporting RCM’s OPWDD and OMH staffing programs by providing training, oversight, site support, and clinical guidance to both temporary staff and client programs. This individual ensures that all RCM providers are properly trained, compliant, and supported, while maintaining strong communication with client leadership and internal teams. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in residential or day habilitation settings, strong knowledge of OPWDD and/or OMH regulations, and the ability to assess situations, resolve issues, and provide professional recommendations. Key Responsibilities Training & Orientation Conduct weekly new hire orientations for DSPs, clinicians, and other support staff. Facilitate SCIP R (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention) trainings for all required personnel. Ensure all providers understand OPWDD/OMH expectations, documentation standards, and site specific protocols. Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Site Visits & Client Support Perform regular site visits to RCM’s OPWDD and OMH client programs to: Observe provider performance Address attendance, performance, or behavioral concerns Gather feedback from client supervisors Support providers experiencing challenges on assignment Communicate directly with client management to resolve issues involving temporary staff. Provide professional insight and recommendations based on observations and client feedback. Internal Communication & Collaboration Work closely with RCM recruiters, coordinators, and account manager to: Report provider issues Identify training needs Support corrective action plans Ensure staffing solutions align with client expectations Document all site visits, provider interactions, and client communications in a timely manner. Clinical Judgment & Problem Solving Assess and diagnose staff-related issues and provide actionable solutions. Offer guidance on crisis prevention, behavior management, and best practices in OPWDD/OMH settings. Serve as a subject matter expert for internal teams regarding OPWDD and OMH regulations. Business Development (Optional Commission Opportunity) If the candidate has existing relationships with OPWDD or OMH organizations, they may assist with: Introducing RCM to new programs Supporting expansion opportunities Earning commission for successful new partnerships Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience working in one of the following: Direct Support Professional (DSP) Residential Supervisor / Assistant Manager Day Habilitation Specialist or Supervisor Behavioral or clinical support roles in OPWDD/OMH settings Experience working directly with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or mental health needs. Strong familiarity with OPWDD and OMH regulations, service models, and program expectations. SCIP R Instructor Certification. Must be affiliated with or previously employed by an OPWDD certified organization. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to conduct trainings, lead groups, and manage challenging conversations. Reliable transportation for site visits (as needed). Preferred Qualifications Experience conducting staff training or orientations. Prior supervisory or leadership experience in residential or day program settings. Crisis intervention or behavioral support background. Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Ability to build rapport with both staff and client leadership.
