Rooted in the values of quality service and integrity, we are dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive atmosphere where employees can advance, innovate, and contribute to our ongoing success. ABOUT THE ROLE – Maintenance TechnicianWe are seeking a skilled and energetic Maintenance Technician to support equipment maintenance and reliability across our 24/7 beverage and dessert manufacturing facility in Penn Yan, NY. This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, completing repairs, and ensuring equipment remains in safe and efficient operating condition. Maintenance Technicians play a critical part in minimizing downtime and supporting overall plant performance. WHAT YOU’LL DO• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on processing and packaging equipment• Identify abnormal equipment conditions and resolve issues to maintain proper operation• Support machine setup, testing, adjustments, and mechanical rebuilds• Perform emergency repairs as needed during daily operations• Work safely around moving machinery, steam systems, compressed air, and cleaning chemicals• Read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical drawings (preferred)• Perform building and facility maintenance including carpentry, plumbing, painting, welding, and general repairs as needed• Support wastewater and utility systems as applicable• Communicate equipment concerns and improvement opportunities to leadership• Complete maintenance documentation and work orders accurately• Perform other duties as assigned WHAT YOU’LL NEED• High school diploma or GED required• Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to disassemble and reassemble equipment• Experience with electrical, electro‑mechanical, or pneumatic systems• Troubleshooting experience preferred• Ability to read schematics and drawings preferred• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Strong problem‑solving skills and self‑motivation• Ability to work effectively as part of a team• Safe work habits and commitment to following safety procedures• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces• Reliable transportation required THE SCHEDULE & SETTING• Full‑time position• Schedule: Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday• Training: 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. for approximately 90 days• Shift Options:2nd Shift: 3 p.m. – 11 p.m.3rd Shift: 11 p.m. – 7 a.m.• Must be flexible to work weekends and overtime• Work performed around industrial equipment, processing areas, heights, and confined spaces• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbsPAY & BENEFITSPay Range (Base Pay): $28 – $36 per hour based on experienceSign‑On Bonus: $3,000 paid after 30 daysOther Compensation: May include overtime pay and shift premiumsHealth and Wellness: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, FSA, EAP, and voluntary insurance optionsRetirement Benefits: 401(k)Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, sick time, and paid company holidays in accordance with policy and lawsTo apply, click “Apply” and complete the online application. WHY JOIN US Golden State Foods (GSF) is one of the largest diversified suppliers in the food industry, manufacturing a range of products including sauces, dressings, condiments, syrups, and toppings for leading restaurant and retail brands.Join GSF and grow your career with a global food industry leader who:People First: At Golden State Foods, we are a dynamic community where your talents are celebrated and your ambitions are nurtured.Values Driven: Our core values drive everything we do, fostering innovation, integrity, and excellence.People Development: We invest in developing our people to prepare us all for the future.Philanthropy & Sustainability: We support charitable and sustainability initiatives across the globe.Extensive Benefits: We take a holistic approach to wellness, supporting the whole person.EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
