Position: Operations CoordinatorPay Rate: $47k annuallySchedule: Sun/Mon/Tues Every Other Wednesday 6am - 6pmThe Operations Coordinator provides critical support to Forward’s Truckload Brokerage operations by assisting with load management, data entry, carrier communication, and customer interaction. This foundational role is designed to build core competencies in logistics and transportation operations, supporting team members while developing skills necessary for future advancement within the organization.Core Responsibilities & Duties:Assist in managing load boards and scheduling pick-up and delivery appointmentsCommunicate with carriers to confirm load details, pick-up times, and delivery schedulesEnsure accurate and timely data entry into the McLeod Transportation Management System (TMS)Monitor daily load execution from pick-up through delivery under the guidance of senior team membersSupport the resolution of basic carrier or load-related issues by escalating to Operations SpecialistsDevelop relationships with customer facilities to assist with loading and unloading coordinationCollaborate with internal teams to identify and report operational gaps and discrepanciesProvide administrative and operational assistance to Operations Management and Account Management teamsLearn and apply standard operating procedures and best practices in logistics and transportationOther duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferredInterest in pursuing a career in logistics, transportation, or operationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational capabilitiesAbility to multitask and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)Skills:Strong work ethic and eagerness to learnEffective time management and prioritization skillsBasic problem-solving and analytical thinking abilitiesTeam-oriented mindset with a collaborative approachAdaptability and willingness to take on new challengesCustomer-focused attitude and professional demeanorForward Air is an Equal Opportunity Employer#L1-TW1#L1-ONSITESince 1990, Forward Air has been a leading provider of ground transportation and related logistics services to the North American air freight and expedited LTL market.
