Job Description

Electro-Mechanical Technician The Electro-Mechanical Technician at Green Bay Packaging works in a fast-paced environment that oversees the installation and maintenance of our plant support systems and process machinery. This role will also be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment, as well as installing new equipment, performing regular services, performing maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns. As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will use all the tools at your disposal to ensure the reliability of the industrial equipment and any associated support equipment. This will involve corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance techniques, as well as operational and design feedback for maintaining and improving all systems at Green Bay Packaging facilities. What You’ll Do Maintain and install all electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems  Install new production support systems and process machinery Inspect and assess functionality of critical facility systems (HVAC, air compressors, and humidification systems)  Communicate and schedule production impacts with the production team  Fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades Read and interpret engineering blueprints and work instructions  Prepare and submit maintenance reports  Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries  Maintain tool accountability and comply with GMP standards Assist with general facilities and grounds maintenance  Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency certificate  3+ years of professional experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, mechanical, fluid, or control systems Preferred Skills and Experience Associate degree in Electro‑Mechanical Technology 4+ years of experience troubleshooting electrical control systems (Building automation, machinery, production automation) Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations Ability to record, report, and articulate the condition of equipment and recommended repairs or corrective actions Knowledge in the following areas: HVAC, electrical safety, pneumatic principles, tubing, pipe-fittings, rotating machinery (pumps, air compressors, etc.), machining, and welding PLC troubleshooting/programming capability Operational knowledge of multi-meters and operation of various hand tools and power tools Knowledge of high-pressure gas, flammable gas, refrigeration gases, and recovery Strong communication, organization, and computer skills Physically able to work on your feet, lift, and navigate tight machine spaces Work Schedule Regular: 2nd Shift (2pm - 10pm Monday - Friday) after training  Training: Day shift (6am –2pm, Monday–Friday) for up to 120 days Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required What We Offer Safety-focused, clean, temperature-controlled environment Supportive, skilled maintenance team Ongoing training and development Comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, life insurance, pension, 401(k) Free employer clinics and physical therapy Gym membership and local discounts Compensation and Benefits Ranging from $27.37/hr – $41.91/hr Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.EducationPreferredHigh School or betterAssociates or betterEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
