In this role, you will provide high-quality preventive care, educate patients on maintaining optimal oral health, and support the dentist in delivering exceptional clinical outcomes.The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to excellence in care. We welcome applicants seeking a flexible schedule, with opportunities ranging from one day per week to a minimum commitment of two days per month.Key Responsibilities:Clinical DutiesPerform dental cleanings, including prophylaxis, scaling, and root planningConduct periodontal assessments and chartingTake and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays) in compliance with regulationsPre-diagnose treatment plansTake impressions for the patient as needed Identify signs of oral disease and communicate findings to the dentistPatient EducationEducate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive careDiscuss treatment plans and reinforce the dentist’s recommendationsProvide post-treatment care instructionsClinical Support & ComplianceMaintain accurate and thorough patient recordsFollow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocolsSterilize and maintain instruments and operatory cleanlinessCollaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flowQualificationsRequiredValid Dental Hygienist license in UTCurrent CPR/BLS certificationAbility to administer local anesthesiaMinimum 1 year experience post-graduationPreferredPrevious experience in dental or clinical setting post graduationFamiliarity with dental i.e. DentrixExperience with periodontal therapy and patient education programsSkills & CompetenciesExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong attention to detail and clinical precisionCompassionate, patient-centered approach to careAbility to work independently and as part of a teamTime management and organizational skillsWork Environment & ScheduleDental office clinical settingPart-time PositionProlonged standing and use of fine motor skills requiredCompensation & BenefitsOffering $45.00 to $50.00 an hour; depending on experienceSupportive and Collaborative Work EnvironmentCompensation:$45-$50/hour
