This position has been segmented as Hybrid meaning there is a combination of three onsite days per week and the rest remote. Responsibilities:Lead/manage the preparation and review of federal and state income and franchise tax returns, estimated payments, and extensions; 47 states; 195 returns per year at the state and local level; 1 federal consolidated return (this responsibility is 85% of the position and requires the most technical skill related to taxation)Assist with the identification, implementation, and reporting of federal and state tax planning initiativesAssist with the preparation and review of inputs into the interim and year-end tax accounting processAssist with the gathering of information in response to document requests from taxing authoritiesOther duties as assigned by managerQualifications:Education/Training:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related analytical field required (or related experience). MA/MBA preferredJob relevant certifications preferred (e.g. CPA)Related Experience/Requirements:6 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting; including experience in a public company or public accounting firmFederal and state income tax compliance experience.At least 1 year of people leadership (supervisor/manager) experience preferredAdvanced skills using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)Experience with research tools used to perform tax research and reinforce understanding of tax law and tax complianceExperience with Corptax compliance and tax accounting softwareKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Prioritization/Organization/Multi-tasking - Able to organize their own work and deadlines, as well as manage the work of othersAttention to Detail - Regularly provides work that is accurate, thorough and consistentReviews work of others for accuracy and provides actionable feedbackCommunications - Strong Verbal & Written communications.
