Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM Experience: • 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months. • 12 months of Telemetry Unit experience. • Experience with Epic is preferred. Requirements: • Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission). • This role will require floating to multiple units • Local & travel allowed. • 7 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - University of Chicago Medical Center and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - University of Chicago Medical Center. Additional Details: Special Requests: You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. Pre-Approved Time Off: 2 Requests No RTO first or last week of contract Any block scheduling or special schedule requests must be made on the submittal email and discussed in the interview. Any request made after the offer is accepted or onsite will not be accepted by unit manger Required Skills/Experience: - Must have telemetry experience in work history; candidates with only ICU experience in work history are not accepted. - Chronic ventilator experience. - RN must be competent in rhythm strip interpretation and is required to pass an EKG strip test at orientation. - RN is responsible for all aspects of trach care/management; respiratory therapy is available if needed. - Patient population includes MI, arrhythmia, CVA, syncope, DKA, CHF, post pacemaker, stent, EP study, COVID, ESRD, and PE. - Required Skills: Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Cardiac Telemetry, Telemetry, Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI), Feeding tube care and management, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Titrate Cardiac drips, Nasal Cannula, Tracheostomy care/management. Preferred Skills/Experience: - Competence in initiating and maintaining cardiac drips such as dobutamine, amiodarone, and cardizem. Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. Details: • AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined. 3 days maximum time off. Start assignment restriction: 7 days.
