Join us in a Utility I role and help build high-quality air conditioning units that keep homes and businesses comfortable year-round.  This is a great opportunity to grow your skills in a supportive, safety-first environment with plenty of room for advancement.What You’ll DoFully competent to perform all positions on a minimum of two or more production lines in the facilityPosition will also be able to complete a wide variety duty such as: Spot welding, fork lift operation, material location, painting, foam, brazing, Machine Operator 1, operating an assortment of hand tools including but not limited to screwdrivers, drills, pliers, banders, etc.Position will assist in the training and orienting of new employeesMust be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to responsibilitiesDetects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisorMaintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulationsBe flexible with overtime and shift changes including Saturday hours as neededOther duties as requiredWhat You BringRequired:High school diploma or GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship (or equivalent years of education and 2 years of work experience)Experience in a manufacturing or industrial settingStrong attention to detail and ability to follow instructionsAbility to read and interpret documents including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Hold a Forklift Certification, or obtain a certification within a two time allowance of testing all within the first month of starting positionPreferred:Strong communication and teamwork skillsTraining and/or supervisory experienceWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
