Our client, a leader in industrial automation and electrical controls, is seeking a Software Consultant III to join their team. As a Software Consultant III, you will be part of the Electrical Controls Support Department supporting engineering and maintenance teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and effective communication, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Software Consultant III Location: Wilmington, NC What's the Job? Maintain and edit vintage PLC systems, including updating and configuring GE Fanuc, Emerson, and Allen Bradley PLCs. Update and modify HMI displays to ensure optimal operation and user interface. Investigate, recommend, and implement solutions for 480/120/24 V electrical controls. Write and update code for safety relays and serial communication systems to enhance safety and efficiency. Update electrical drawings and schematics using CAD software and assist in constructing minor electrical control builds such as wiring relays and safety circuits. What's Needed? Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Experience with ERP implementation, support, and system integration. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with technical proficiency in ERP tools and systems. Excellent communication skills and ability to manage client relationships effectively. Experience with vintage PLC maintenance, editing, and electrical control systems is preferred. What's in it for me?
