Job Description

A healthcare facility in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join its team.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain accurate staffing schedules for the nursing departmentServe as the main point of contact between the facility and payroll team, ensuring timecards and payroll matters are handled correctlyAct as liaison for employee benefits coordination with relevant administratorsOversee front desk operations and staffEnsure compliance with Department of Labor and Department of Health requirements for all new hires, including onboarding processes such as background checks, reference verification, and timekeeping setupManage recruitment efforts, including identifying staffing needs, screening candidates, and conducting interviewsAttend management meetings as neededSupport overall team objectives by assisting with additional tasks when requiredHandle core HR functions such as disciplinary actions, payroll status updates, terminations, resignations, and retirements in coordination with department leadersPerform other related duties as assignedQualifications:Previous experience in human resources or staffing requiredDegree or formal training in HR is strongly preferredSolid understanding of HR processes and administrationStrong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication skillsAbout the Organization:This well-established rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility offers a supportive and compassionate environment focused on helping residents achieve improved health and well-being.
