The company also has a variety of voluntary benefits for employees to choose from.Compensation$75,000-$95,000 DOE ResponsibilitiesDesigns and implements electrical systems for plant additions and modifications at the manufacturing plantsProvides technical training including Arc Flash safety and best practices to plant electricians and other technical personnelOversees and advises on major plant maintenance projects, capital projects, upgrades and equipment repairsPrepares, reviews and approves electrical building permit and engineering drawings for new plants and plant expansionsReviews new capital project equipment design and selection for electrical best practiceDevelops and maintains specifications for equipment selectionPerforms power system studies and maintain a database of completed studies.Manages and directs contractors to perform work on plant sitesUpdates drawings as neededParticipates in cement plant major outagesAssists and provides support on capital improvement projects as assignedAssists with construction project checkout, commissioning and startupProvides backup to the Senior Controls Engineer for the support of plant automation systemsSupports plants with technical advice and by diagnosing and correcting electrical problems when requiredUndertakes and completes electrical designs including supporting calculations as required These may include (but are not limited to) load calculations, voltage drop, protective relay settings, etc.Performs field inspections, measurements and data gathering as requiredEducationBachelor’s degree in Electrical EngineeringRequirements/QualificationsMinimum of five years experience in cement or related manufacturing including two or more years in Maintenance or Plant EngineeringKnowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)Will be required to travel to company facilities and other locations as neededMust be a self-starter and able to work independentlyMust be able to work cooperatively with plant and corporate personnelMust be able to work at heights and in restricted spacesMust be able to climb ladders and stairs in an industrial environment to access/inspect equipmentMust be prepared to spend time in the plants gathering data/working on projects/providing plant electrical assistanceKnowledge of SAP and AutoCAD is preferredConditions of EmploymentSuccessful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
