Our overall Google, Facebook and Yelp ratings are over “4.9” Stars!Job Duties:Detailed Dental Assistant DutiesExtra-oral duties or procedures specified by the supervising licensed dentist, provided that these duties or procedures meet the definition of a basic supportive procedurePerform Dental ProphylaxisPerform intraoral and extraoral photography and XraysSet up instrument trays, prepare materials & assist Orthodontist during orthodontic procedures and sterilize & disinfect instruments Select & pre-size orthodontic bands & arch wires prescribed by the orthodontist, remove & re-cement bandsAssist orthodontist with orthodontic treatment in accordance with the delegable duties allowable by stateTaking and working with digital scansWorking with, Braces - Traditional Metal Brackets & Clear Aligners/InvisalignPatient ManagementGreet patients when they sign in and monitor arrival timeSet up treatment rooms for proceduresEscort patients to treatment roomSeat patients in treatment roomsShow care and concern, and help patients feel comfortableObtain and review health histories according to office protocolEnsure patients are always attendedAnticipate and assist dentist’s needsPerform expanded functions and other tasks as assigned by the dentistEnsure patients’ questions are answered thoroughly before they leaveChart patients and record date, service rendered and any chargesEscort patients from the treatment roomEnsure proper treatment notes are recorded in patient’s chartPerform clinical procedures as practice act allows and as directed by dentistGive patient instruction and demonstrate when necessaryMonitor patient flowTreatment Room Management and SterilizationKeep dental units ready, stocked and cleanoversee cleanliness of the treatment room according to sterilization proceduresDisinfect treatment rooms according to OSHA regulationsSterilize all instruments and handpieces according to OSHA regulationsKeep trays, instruments and treatment room drawers organizedensure that office sterilization procedures document is on displayPromptly send out and monitor all dental laboratory casesInventory ManagementMonitor inventory and order dental office supplies as neededEnsure that treatment rooms are stocked at all timesOffice ParticipationHelp in other areas of the office when necessary (i.e., answering phones, unpacking supplies, completing insurance forms, moving former patient records, etc.)Be an active participant in team meetingsPromote team concept by interacting with others in the office* Minimum 2 + year Dental Assisting experience required. * Must have a DA and in process of obtaining RDA or RDA/OAP Certificate* A familiarity with both pediatric and orthodontic dentistry is preferred.* Experience working with Dentrix software is a plus!.We Look Forward To Hearing From You!Regards,Sunny Smiles TeamBenefits:Medical, PTO, BonusesCompensation:$20-$30/hour
