Job DescriptionAramark Facilities Management is seeking a General Manager to lead day-to-day operations within a large, complex Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) account supporting Mecklenburg County. This role is responsible for executing maintenance and facilities operations across a diverse portfolio that includes government buildings, parks and recreation facilities, and libraries.The General Manager translates operational priorities into execution. This leader is accountable for driving performance in the field, leading skilled trades teams, managing vendor partners, and ensuring all services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to standard. This role requires a strong maintenance background, a visible leadership presence, and the ability to deliver consistent results across multiple service lines.  This is a critical leadership position within a high-visibility IFM account. The General Manager plays a direct role in delivering operational performance, supporting client satisfaction, and leading teams responsible for maintaining essential public facilities across the Mecklenburg portfolio.  Total Compensation: The total compensation range for this role is $110,000 to $126,500, which includes a base salary range of $100,000 to $115,000 and a target annual bonus of 10%.Integrated Facilities Management ScopeThis role operates within a fully integrated IFM model, requiring coordination across multiple services. The General Manager ensures seamless delivery across:Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) services, primarily self-performedFacilities maintenance and operations across a diverse portfolioCustodial services delivered through third-party providers and managed by AramarkVendor and contractor partnerships supporting specialized and large-scale work Success in this role requires disciplined execution across all service lines, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and cost control.Job ResponsibilitiesFacilities Operations and ExecutionLead daily facilities maintenance and operations across multiple sites and asset typesExecute preventive maintenance programs, work orders, and project-based work with a focus on reliability and speedEnsure all services are delivered on time, safely, and in alignment with client expectationsMaintain strong field presence to support teams, remove barriers, and keep work moving Skilled Trades and Team LeadershipLead and develop Maintenance Managers, Operations Managers, and skilled trades teams, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbingProvide clear direction, set expectations, and hold teams accountable for execution and qualitySupport technical problem-solving when needed while maintaining focus on leading the operationAlign staffing, skillsets, and daily priorities to meet operational demand Vendor and Custodial ManagementOversee outsourced custodial services, ensuring performance, quality, and accountabilityManage third-party vendors and contractors, particularly for large-scale or specialized work (approximately 30% of operations)Balance internal labor and external partners to deliver efficient and cost-effective outcomes Client and Operational AlignmentPartner closely with the Resident District Manager to support overall account performanceEnsure clear communication of priorities, progress, and challenges across all levels of the operationMaintain alignment with client expectations across all facilities and service lines At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. In order to meet our commitments, job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice. QualificationsIn order to be prepared for this leadership role, qualified candidates will possess:Strong background in facilities maintenance and skilled trades operationsExperience leading multi-site or complex maintenance operationsWorking knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systemsExperience managing vendors and outsourced service providersProven ability to lead teams while maintaining strong operational awarenessClear communicator with the ability to drive alignment and executionExperience in government or public sector facilities preferredThis role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.
