Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a Designer for our GBP Cincinnati Division.  This position will report to the Design Manager. The Graphic Designer supports corrugated packaging production by creating, adjusting, and preparing print‑ready artwork. This role is responsible for developing accurate layouts, managing print specifications, and ensuring color consistency and die‑line alignment for both flexographic and digital corrugated printing. The designer will create, modify, and refine graphics for packaging, displays, and related materials while maintaining accuracy, printability, and brand consistency throughout the production process. Responsibilities Adjust and prepare customer‑supplied artwork to make it press‑ready, including layout corrections, trapping, bleed, color adjustments, dieline alignment, and file optimization.  Create print cards and specs for approval that meet both customer and production requirements. Creates designs, concepts, and prototype sample layouts to meet customer requests/requirements using Artios CAD.  Cuts prototype samples using a Kongsberg cutting table.  Maintains and updates on-line sample request form for design project status and due date requirements in the Design Department.  Quote, ordering, and checking in tooling for production use.  Provides support to internal departments such as Customer Service, Estimating, etc.   Qualifications An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Design, Graphic Design or related experience. Skills in aiding customers by answering questions and assisting them through the design process to meet their needs.  Skills in using MS software applications, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop.   Ability to work well with customers, other staff members, be creative in the making of samples, and clear communications with customers and staff. Strong math skills, including measuring, scaling, calculating print areas, and working with fractions and dimensions common in packaging layouts. Requires a strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
